Like a Boss

Aug 18, 2020

On this week’s episode of the Market Like a Boss Podcast, I’m discussing why you need to stop stressing over engagement. This episode is going to be a mixture of tough love and holding you accountable for your marketing. I think it's so easy for us to start worrying about how many likes and comments we are getting, but that will make you lose focus on what’s going well in your marketing. You can’t let the amount of likes and comments consume you. Engagement is only a small part of your marketing.

Have you ever found yourself in the mindset that you’re not going to show up in your Facebook group or go live because you didn’t have the engagement you wanted? I think we have all been there, but how do you expect your ideal client to work with you if you’re not going to show up for them? You showing up can’t be reliant on what engagement you get because then it’s all about you and not about the person who matters most: Your dream client.

Some people will stay in the background until they are ready or they might never be ready. I have to say, I have gotten clients who didn’t engage on my posts or videos, but they were STILL WATCHING ME. Take the focus off of you and focus on your dream client. You’re not going to get clients every day. Success happens when you take little steps every day towards your goals. These small steps like booking a new discovery call or creating a freebie...these are things that move you toward your goal. They matter.
